Melania Trump made a surprise campaign trail debut at her husband Donald's huge rally in Madison Square Garden, New York, on Sunday, with just over a week until the presidential election.
Footage shows the two spending a lengthy amount of time on air kisses in front of the crowd, but avoided the seemingly embarrassing 'kiss swerve' of the Republican National Convention, when Donald leaned forward and Melania tilted her head to plant one on his cheek.
The star-studded rally also featured journalist Tucker Carlson, wrestler Hulk Hogan, tech billionaire Elon Musk - who had the crowd chanting 'Elon, Elon' - and Trump VP nominee JD Vance.
Comic Tony Hinchcliffe's 'joke' about Puerto Rico grabbed the headlines.
"Like, I don’t know if you guys know this, but there is literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now yeah. I think it’s called Puerto Rico. Okay, alright, okay. We’re getting there. You know, normally I don’t follow the national anthem, everybody," he said.
The Trump campaign subsequently distanced itself from the comments.
A number of the insults directed at Democrat Kamala Harris also caused a media stir, including Carlson's line: "You know what, Kamala Harris, she's just got 85 million votes because she's just so impressive, as the first Samoan-Malaysian low IQ former California prosecutor ever to be elected president."
Trump faces off with Democrat Kamala Harris on November 5.
