Russian members of Mission 64 aboard the International Space Station (ISS), commander Sergei Ryzhikov and flight engineer Sergei Kud-Sverchkov, gave their New Year's wishes from space on Thursday.
Sergei Kud-Sverchkov noted that 2020 marked the 20th year of continuous human presence aboard the ISS, while Sergei Ryzhikov called on all inhabitants of Russia and the world to take care of themselves and their relatives.
"Take care of yourselves and your loved ones, be healthy, be attentive to each other and be together. That’s all that matters, because we'll be ready to face anything together," said the commander.
The mission at the ISS is expected to last for a total of 177 days, ending in April 2021.
