Thousands of people were seen entering the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris on Sunday to watch the match between the women’s national football teams of Brazil and Japan, as both squads played their second game during these Olympic Games.

"We're expecting lots of goals from Marta and other players. We came here with the whole family hoping to see a great spectacle," a Brazil supporter said.

Footage shows fans passing security checks before entering the venue as well as posing for pictures with both countries’ flags.

"I didn't see the first game, but now that I'm here, I'm excited to see today's game. I know that Marta is still playing for the Brazilian team, and this is her last Olympics. So I hope everything goes well for her and that we win this gold medal," said another Brazilian fan.

One of the Japanese fans said that he was excited to see the clash between the technical players of Brazil and the strong Japanese team, saying that attending the event was ‘a dream coming true’.

“Three years ago, I wasn't able to watch the Olympics in real life because of COVID and so on. It was a good Olympics for us, but it wasn't a good Olympics for someone who wanted to watch it in real life,” he explained.

Japan beat Brazil 2-1 to get its first victory in the tournament.
