Six-year-old Pratyaksh Vijay, the youngster yoga instructor ever, showed off his remarkable skills at his parent's home in Kota, Rajasthan on Wednesday.
Pratyaksh completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training course and his achievement was certified by Guinness World Records in November of 2023, when he was just five years and 337 days old.
"I developed an interest in yoga. I ate healthy food. I started doing yoga. Gradually, with the grace of Radha and Rani, I became the youngest male yoga instructor," he explained.
His mother Deeksha, also an instructor, explained that he first became interested in her own training and yoga practice.
"We used to practice yoga at home. We are health cautious so we used to practice at home. Pratyaksh got interested in yoga seeing us. He started doing yoga at a young age. We taught him basic yoga at home. Seeing his interest in yoga we started sending him to professional classes," she said.
Pratyaksh's father Gaurav added that he had advised his son to avoid smartphones and junk food as the best way to reach his goal.
The previous record was held by seven-year old Praanvi Gupta, an Indian expat living in Dubai who became the youngest yoga instructor in the world when she was seven years and 165 days old in 2023.
