Description

National Guard soldiers working together with local law enforcement agencies were seen heightening levels of security around the Michigan State Capitol in Lansing on Sunday.

Law enforcement agencies around the nation are on high alert after the FBI warned that armed protests had been planned at all 50 State Capitols on Sunday.

Footage showed National Guard soldiers preparing riot gear and roadblocks outside the Capitol, with dozens of armoured vehicles on patrol, local businesses had also boarded up their windows in preparation.

Eventually, there were only around 60 protesters who attended the rally at the Michigan Capitol. A little more than an hour after arriving, the protest was almost over with just a handful of demonstrators remaining.
