The Barcelona Women's football team made history in Barcelona on Sunday, by beating Bayern Munich in the UEFA Women's Champions League Semi Final with an aggregate of 2:0 to make it to the UEFA Women's Champions League final for their first time.

Mariona Caldentey scored a penalty for the Barcelona side during extra time in the first half.

"I was calm, I was confident that it [the ball] would go in and with this self-esteem everything went all right," said Caldentey post-match.

Barcelona's coach Lluis Cortes discussed his team's performance, drawing similarities with the away leg of the Semi Final, which Barcelona had concluded with a victory too.

Barcelona will face three-time defending champion Lyon on May 18 in Budapest for the League title.
