    Footage filmed on Saturday shows a US military convoy passing the village of Tal Aalo Foqani, near Hasakah, in north east Syria, a day after US Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced that US forces would be deployed to protect oil fields in the region.

    According to Esper, armoured vehicles as well as soldiers will be deployed to the area in order to prevent the possibility of the oil fields falling into the hands of IS militants.

    Footage filmed on Saturday shows a US military convoy passing the village of Tal Aalo Foqani, near Hasakah, in north east Syria, a day after US Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced that US forces would be deployed to protect oil fields in the region.
