Footage shows the Yas Bay skyline lit up with the huge number of pyrotechnics, as well as people on the waterfront enjoying and recording the show.
To celebrate the end of Ramadan, workers in both public and private sectors have been given official five-day holidays, which this year became nine days off in total due to the weekends. In the run-up to the holiday, residents were seen buying gifts and treats to celebrate, with local markets seeing large crowds.
Eid al-Fitr comes at the end of the holy month of Ramadan and is one of the main religious holidays of Islam. Eid al-Fitr is marked on April 10-12 in UAE this year.
