Description

Guo Hongping, a barber from Wuhan, performed some of his outstanding moves with the scissors while hanging himself on a sling to give customers an experience of a lifetime with their trims.

Footage filmed on Friday features Guo hanging his legs on a chain hanger, using tools such as scissors and trimmers to deliver haircuts to his customers as if he was doing a handstand in the air.

"I've been in the hairdressing industry for over 20 years, constantly researching and exploring ways to innovate. I've always felt that there hasn't been any groundbreaking change or innovation in the hairdressing industry. I've been thinking about how to reform and innovate hairdressing, and finally, I've found a sense of direction and inspiration," Guo shared.

Some customers willing to try out this 'hanging shears' method by Guo also came to experience it and were satisfied with the results.

"I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. Master Guo was very steady throughout the process of using the hairdressing sling, and it was virtually indistinguishable from cutting hair on solid ground. There wasn't a rigid feeling at all. After the haircut, I am still very pleased with my hairstyle," said one of the customers.

Guo Hongling, a 49-year-old barber from Wuhan, has been operating his barbershop for the past 26 years. Seven years ago, he started experimenting with an inverted haircutting technique, which he calls 'hanging shears'. This method, which costs 128 yuan (about 17 USD), is more expensive than the traditional cut, which costs only 48 yuan (6 USD).

Guo claimed that he had dedicated seven or eight years to mastering the technique, and videos of his performance of the 'hanging shears' had become popular on social media. This has attracted more people to his barbershop, seeking this unique experience.
