Description

The residents of Gaza City were seen returning back to their normal routines on Friday following the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.

Shops were seen reopening, pedestrians walked the streets, and construction work began to restore some of the damage wrought in the last 11 days of violence.

"Normal life has returned, thanks to the efforts of the resistance. There should be some solution. And this is what we want. Praise be to God. We must come out of this with something," local resident Saher al-Sousi said.

After over a week of Israeli bombardment and rocket fire from Palestinian militants, over 240 Palestinians were killed, while 12 Israelis were slain, according to the respective authorities.
