Before the kick-off of the Euro 2020 match against Spain, Croatia's national coach Zlatko Dalic, player Marcelo Brozovic and Croatia's media and communication manager Tomislav Pacak gave a press conference, where also a statement about Ivan Perisics COVID infection was given.
Pacak confirmed that Perisic had been isolated and would be missing the match against Spain in Copenhagen.
"He has mild symptoms, which he had yesterday as well. He had some sort of pain in his back, that's why we started feeling suspicious, and he was isolated from the rest of the team," stated Pacak in Copenhagen on Sunday.
"The procedure is the same as it is for any other citizen of the Republic of Croatia," he concluded.
Dalic praised both teams ahead of the match, and said he felt chances were "equal."
"In the beginning, they didn't manage to score too many goals, but in the third match, that exploded. The chances are equal," Dalic added.
