Thousands joined a rally condemning the violence and war with Palestine and called for peaceful coexistence, in Tel Aviv on Saturday.

Protesters were seen carrying signs reading, 'Peace between Israel and Palestine,' 'Democracy for all,' 'Occupation is the source of evil,' and 'Enough bloodshed.'

"We are here to tell everyone that there is a majority of people that actually share the interest of peace and ending the occupation," protester Sale Abed said.

"[The ceasefire] does not end the occupation in the West Bank and in Jerusalem. It does not end the systematic discrimination within Israel of Palestinian citizens in Israel. And what it actually does is just, you know, there is a ceasefire now and we're just waiting for the next cycle of violence and we don't want that. We are demanding the end of the cycle of violence," she added.

The rally came just a few days after a ceasefire between Palestinian militant groups and the Israeli government ended the hostilities, which took the lives of 248 Palestinians and 12 Israelis, according to the respective authorities.
