Description

An exhibition called 'Witness to Crime 2021' documenting the aftermath of the recent aggression between Israel and Hamas opened Tuesday in Gaza City.

"The exhibition includes approximately 270 images in which the infrastructure, economic facilities, population and media towers were targeted by the occupation in the recent aggression," Mahmoud Al-Farra of the Ministry of Information stated.

'Witness to Crime 2021' was organized by the Gaza government Ministry of Information and displays photographs taken by 23 Palestinian journalists who covered the recent bombardment.

The exhibition is to give light to the destruction the citizens of Gaza experienced in the 11-day siege.

"We, as Palestinian journalists, have broken the Israeli narrative and published our photos in international forums, and these photos will be a witness to the crime committed by the Israeli occupation against civilians, and it is a hope for many people who came out of the rubble and destroyed their shops and homes, and returned to life again," Moamen Qureiqa, a journalist at the exhibition shared.

The worst outbreak of violence between Israel and Gaza since 2014 left 12 Israelis and 248 Palestinians dead after 11 days of hostilities.
