According to the ministry, the migrants do not show aggression, "emphasising their purely peaceful intentions," and consist mainly of women and children.

Due to the increasing number of attempts of migrants to enter Poland and EU countries via Belarus, Warsaw accused Minsk of fomenting the migration crisis in Europe.
