Hundreds thronged the passport office in the Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday after Taliban authorities announced they would resume issuing travel documents.
"I am very happy that the passport process has started, I want to take a passport to go outside the country. There is no work, there is a lot of poverty [here], I want to go outside the country for work," said Mirwais, a passport applicant.
