The director of the UN nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, said the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is seeking to "find common ground" with Iran, during his visit to Tehan on Tuesday.

Grossi emphasised the importance of a "peaceful nuclear program" in Iran at the "time when climate change demands that we work together that we add clean nuclear energy to the matrices around the world."

“We will multiply our efforts with a view to conclude our exchanges today in a positive note. We are working very hard," Grossi promised.

The head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation in Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, told journalists that the issues IAEA and Iran face together are "technical."

Talks regarding the restarting of the 2015 nuclear deal are due to commence next week in Vienna.

In 2018, former US President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the agreement and in turn began imposing crippling sanctions on Iran.
