Hungarian fans broke into celebrations, as their national team concluded their side with a surprise 1-1 draw against the reigning World Champions France in Budapest on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the extreme heat, thousands of Hungarian football lovers gathered in the official UEFA festival zone by the iconic Vajdahunyad Castle to cheer for their national team, which was taking on Didier Deschamps' side, considered by many specialists as the main contender for the victory in the tournament.

"France is a pretty strong side. I think the fact that we managed to do one-one, it's just amazing, very good. I did not think about this, I would not believe it when I saw it. It's actually very good, actually," said Hungarian fan Daniel.

Hungary's goalkeeper performed miracles throughout and the never-say-die attitude of the Hungarian players kept them in the game.

"We had great expectations after the first game against Germany, so we were expecting to have an easy win over Hungary. But It was actually a great game, great defensive play by Hungary, the goalkeeper was very good. So congratulations to Hungary for the good game," stated French football fan Lucas.
