Protesters removed barricades and clashed with security forces. The ground at one point was visibly smeared with blood.
Clashes came after supporters of Trump gathered for another round of the 'Save America' rally to protest the results of the 2020 US Presidential Election.
The protest was taking place on the same day the US Congress was formally certifying the electoral college votes, confirming Joe Biden as the next President of the United States.
