Iranian deputy foreign minister for political affairs and Iran's top nuclear negotiator at the Vienna talks Ali Bagheri-Kani provided an overview of the first day of resumed nuclear talks in Vienna on Monday.

"All the members of the P4+1 agreed to the rightful demand of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasising and affirming that the status of the US regime's illegal sanctions against our people must first be determined and then on other issues must be discussed, analysed and decided," said Bagheri-Kani as he detailed the agenda for the next day of talks.

Iran, Germany, France, Russia, China and the United Kingdom are attending the talks in the Austrian capital on Monday. Iran refused to hold direct talks with the US since it is not currently a member of the JCPOA accord.
