"They don't have any right to suppress Palestinians. There is one road to go and we must unite. Only protests would not work, our rulers need to move with some kind of action," said Maryam, a protester.
Events began to escalate nearly a fortnight ago over the planned eviction of Palestinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of Jerusalem before spiralling into a deadly exchange of fire between Gaza and Israel.
Demonstrations were held across all major cities in Pakistan for 'Palestine Solidarity Day'. The rally took place on the first day of the ceasefire between Israel and Palestine.
The conflict led to over 240 fatalities on the Palestinian side and 12 on the Israeli side, according to the respective authorities.
