Supporters of conservative cleric Ebrahim Raisi rallied in Tehran on Friday as the presidential candidate prepares for the upcoming June election in Iran.

Many held pictures of Raisi and stood to watch as performers serenaded them from a stage at Tehran's Valiasr Square. As part of the rally, Raisi's campaign manager Ali Nikzad addressed the crowd, slamming the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, also known as the Iran nuclear deal which was reached during the presidency of reformist incumbent president Hassan Rouhani.

"You shall know that we will negotiate wisely and rationally based on mutual profits, in a way that would profit the Islamic Republic of Iran and the children of this nation and country," said Nikzad.

Chief of Justice Ebrahim Raisi, is now leading the polls ahead of the presidential election on June 18.

Many have speculated the conservative cleric will withdraw Tehran from the nuclear accord he is elected to the office.
