German Chancellor Angela Merkel made French President Emmanuel Macron laugh during a press conference in Berlin on Friday when she passed him a question about whether it was good to have the final game of the European Football Championship in Great Britain.
"I cannot comment now about the final, given that the German team will be having their second group match tomorrow. But maybe because I started to speak after the first question, do you want to start answering Emmanuel? Then, because France won, you could start answering," said Merkel.
Macron answered saying the French team had deep respect for the Mannschaft (German national team).
France beat Germany 1-0 after an own goal by Mats Hummels in the game played at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
