Description

At least 93 people were reported killed - with dozens more missing - following an alleged Israeli airstrike on Beit Lahia on Tuesday.
Footage shows locals carrying the bodies of victims while others were seen trapped in the wreckage of the buildings.

“We were sleeping next to Abu Nasr's (family) house.. We were sitting peacefully. There were 300-350 people, of which only seven-eight survived. The house has for floors”, claimed Ayed al-Himlawi, a local.

“No ambulances are available," the resident added. "We have no food. Neither Kamal Adwan nor Al-Awdeh hospitals are working."

The IDF did not comment on the specific strike. Earlier, it stated that "in the Jabalia area in the Gaza Strip, IDF ground forces, in co-operation with the Israeli Air Force, eliminated about 40 terrorists in ground and air raids, as well as dismantled terrorist infrastructure.”

The war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza broke out on October 7, 2023, after the Palestinian group launched an unprecedented attack on southern Israel, killing 1,139 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapping over 200, according to Israeli officials.

In the Gaza Strip, Israel launched a large-scale response of airstrikes and a ground incursion. Palestinian officials reported that 43,061 people had been killed and more than 101,223 at the time of publication.
