The Roscosmos corporation reported that a Soyuz-2.1a rocket carrying the Soyuz MS-26 manned spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) was set to launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on Sunday.

Footage shows specialists transporting the rocket to the launch pad and installing it in a vertical position ahead of the launch.

"Following the good old tradition, a backup crew of Sergei Ryzhikov, Alexei Zubritsky and Jonathan Kim watched the takeout," the Roscosmos press service said.

According to Roscosmos, the crew of the 72nd long-duration expedition to the ISS will launch from Baikonur Cosmodrome on September 11. The main crew includes Russian cosmonauts Alexei Ovchinin and Ivan Wagner, as well as NASA astronaut Donald Pettit.
