Scientists from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea came to Moscow to join internship at the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University.

The footage taken on June 29 and 30 shows Korean scientists visiting the university's laboratories and attending a lecture.

According to the university's press office, the DPRK delegation included distinguished experts from the Academy of Medical Sciences, the State Academy of Sciences and the Centre for Genetic Medicine at Pyongyang Medical University.

"The first day of the internship included a lecture on Introduction to high-throughput sequencing [a set of methods for deciphering and recording the sequence of nitrogenous bases of DNA in letter form]. After that, the DPRK colleagues were given a tour of the N.I. Pirogov Research Institute of Translational Medicine, and at the end of the day they had a practical session on methods of fixation and rapid purification of nucleic acids," press release stated.

The Korean scientists' internship will continue until August 9.
