Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin, a member of NASA's Space X Crew-8 mission to the International Space Station, captured a video of a thunderstorm through the portal of the ISS on Wednesday.
Footage shows lightning flashes illuminating outer space.
"We would like to thank the cosmonaut for the incredible timelapse," Roscosmos stated.
Grebenkin set off for the ISS as part of an international crew on the SpaceX Dragon craft on March 4, 2024. He became the 24th Russian cosmonaut to fly on an American spacecraft and the sixth participant in the Roscosmos-NASA cross-flight programme.
