The Department of Public Health of Almaty in Kazakhstan has reported that one person was killed and dozens were injured in a road accident involving a bus and a car on Wednesday.
Footage shows rescue officers and police at the scene of the incident.
"25 people were injured in a crash involving a No.18 bus. Tragically, one of them died before the ambulance arrived. Two received first aid at the scene and were sent for out-patient treatment. 22 injured people were delivered to a city hospital, where they are undergoing check-ups and the necessary medical procedures," the department’s press service reported.
The authorities added that three teenagers aged 14-16 years old were among the injured.
According to preliminary police reports, a car collided with the bus, which then crashed into a shop. The police have opened a criminal case following the accident.
