Participants of the World Youth Festival 2024 from China shared their impressions after a flash mob dance at the Sirius Federal Territory on Monday.

Footage features a delegation from Moscow singing the Russian song 'Katyusha' and dancing, while the event's participants were receiving festival gifts.

According to Shi Dianchi, an All-China Youth Federation representative, the festival helps to 'foster friendships among young people from different nations and enhance mutual understanding.'

"The festival symbolises shared values such as love and the pursuit of unity to create a new world filled with solidarity," he added.

Meanwhile, a participant from China, Chongyang Li, said that he came to the festival to 'socialise with young people from Russia and also from other countries around the world.'

The World Youth Festival takes place on March 1-7. According to the organisers, it intends to develop international youth cooperation and bring together 20,000 young people. The regional programme will take place on March 10-17, during which the participants will visit 30 Russian cities.

The Sirius 'Innovation Science and Technology Centre' is the first federal territory in Russia located on the Black Sea coast near the city of Sochi.
