Presidential candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon badmouthed incumbent President Emanuel Macron and the European Union during a large campaign rally in Strasbourg on Wednesday.
Melechon stated, "today we are all in Strasbourg because the French presidency of the European Union begins. So there's little to do, every time we're in Strasbourg, in the meetings we have to talk about Europe, which is one of the topics that apparently bores people the most."
Currently polling around the 10 percent marker, the leader of La France Insoumise is the most popular far-left candidate in the race for French president.
The first round of French presidential elections is set for April 10 2022.
