Scuffles between police and protesters inside the train station, where French Education Minister Pap Ndiaye was returning from his trip to Lyon, and trash bins on fire in the French capital can also be seen.
"We can't take it anymore, the people can't take it anymore. What does he (Macron) intend to do? Piss us off until the end? Another four years like this? We can't take it anymore. (Macron) do something, get out of here, leave us alone, let us live," said Francois, a protester during the demonstration in front of Paris Town Hall.
Another demonstrator, Stephanie, commented "He (Macron) passes laws using article 49.3 without going through the National Assembly, that is to say that there we are no longer in democracy. So we as we are democrats, that we are people who love freedom, equality, fraternity, we will not let our country fall into the hands of people like him who do not love it, he (Macron) does not love our country, so we will be outside and we'll have a pan concert."
Last month, the government approved the new pension reform, which includes raising the retirement age from 62 to 64, without a vote in the National Assembly, while the Constitutional Court agreed to the changes on April 14.
