Germany's Winter Olympics team was arriving at Frankfurt am Main on Monday after participating in the Beijing 2022 games.
The team was treated to a warm welcome as staff held up banners for them while taking pictures with the various team members, with most of them holding up their Olympic medals. One member held up a German flag as the aeroplane taxied.
Germany placed second behind Norway in the Olympics this year, with Norway winning 37 medals in total compared to Germany's 27. Of those 27 medals, 12 of them were gold, 10 were silver and the remaining five were bronze. Four of the 12 gold medals were gained in luge and three others in bobsleigh.
