President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro addressed thousands of demonstrators as they rallied in support of the resigned Bolivian president Evo Morales in central Caracas on Tuesday.

"There is no president in Bolivia, an alleged president has self-proclaimed but it is unconstitutional because no one has elected her, she is not the president of Bolivia, and the people of Bolivia know it," Maduro said during his speech.

Footage shows demonstrators dance and chant slogans in support of Morales as they marched carrying Bolivian and Venezuelan flags. National Constituent Assembly President Diosdado Cabello was also seen at the march.

On Sunday, Bolivian President Evo Morales announced his resignation, following weeks of unrest in the wake of the disputed October 20 presidential election. Morales said he had received threats from opposition leaders and was eventually forced by the country's military to step down.

The head of Bolivia's Senate Jeanine Anez has declared herself interim president of Bolivia on Tuesday.
