Police fired water cannons and tear gas at anti-government protesters, in Santiago on Friday.

Law enforcement forces were seen using water cannons on multiple occasions in a bid to disperse demonstrators.

Chile has been rocked by protests for more than a year. Demonstrators are demanding the release of detained protesters, as well as economic reforms and the resignation of President Sebastian Pinera.
