The national football teams of Senegal and Burkina Faso held press conferences on Tuesday, ahead of their face-off in the AFCON semi-finals.

“I think that the fight of Alioun Cisse (Senegal’s coach) is the same fight that I lead in any case for much more visibility on African coaches, here we must not hide it, not very long ago each country was going to look for its white wizard, I will avoid stating a color, but it is simply to tell you that we too are hungry,” commented Burkina Faso’s coach Kamou Malo.

“For us to be able to achieve our objectives, it will be necessary that our African leaders now face confidence in this African expertise,” added Malo.

Cameroon, Egypt, Burkina Faso and Senegal have all reached the tournament's semi-finals, which are set to be played out this week.

“I think that Burkina Faso cannot be more motivated than Senegal, we are as motivated as them, we are as determined as they are, so as I say it will be played tomorrow, once again, all we can say in a press conference is communication,” said Senegal’s coach Aliou Cisse.

Senegal will play against Burkina Faso on Wednesday at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde.
