Macron arrived at the polling station in Northern France with his wife Brigitte Macron.

After casting his ballot, the President took time to talk to supporters and voters waiting outside the Salle des Quatre Saisons.

The French vote in the first round of the presidential election on Sunday and have to choose from 12 candidates, including current President Emmanuel Macron, far-right candidates Marine Le Pen and Eric Zemmour, and leftist Jean-Luc Melenchon. The two candidates who win the first round advance to the second round, scheduled for April 24.
