The streets of Kenosha, Wisconsin, were filmed empty on Friday with several police officers and National Guard personnel deployed in the city.
A Black Lives Matter (BLM) protester said: "Well before curfew there was obviously a peaceful march, and then after curfew everybody kind of scattered, but almost everyone from yesterday went to DC for the big, you know, thing."
"They brought out the national guard stationed everywhere, and at first they were trying to intimidate everyone in the park, but then they just kind of stood back and just let it happen. And now you don't really see any of them anywhere, it's kind of just died down, not really any protesters out any more," she added.
Kenosha is bracing for a fresh round of protests against police brutality and racial discrimination during the weekend.
