Scuffles between demonstrators and police as well as arrests marked the latest anti-government protest in Santiago on Friday.

Police vans used water cannons to disperse groups of demonstrators at Plaza Italia as officers took at least 20 of them into custody.

Chile has been rocked by several major protests in the recent week with demonstrators demanding a new constitution and respect for the rights of the indigenous Mapuche people.
