The Council of Appeals in Thessaloniki ruled that the suspected cryptocurrency criminal Alexander Vinnik should be extradited to Russia on Monday, subject to a decision by the Greek Minister of Justice.

Vinnik's lawyers will appeal a late arrest warrant issued by France, before the justice minister's final decision after examining the competing extradition requests.

His representative, Ilias Spyrliadi, gave an interview after the court hearing.

The former Bitcoin operator is accused of defrauding thousands by launching cyberattacks and money laundering through his cryptocurrency platform. He is wanted on criminal charges by the US, Russia and France.
