Eileen Gu, the American-born Olympic teen skier, now competing for China, won her second medal: the sliver for freestyle ski slopestyle on Tuesday.

Speaking at a press conference after the competition in Beijing, Gu said she hopes to inspire a new generation of skiers in China.

"Honestly, I have met my goals. There are 300 million people on snow so to have even influenced a tiny fraction of that, it makes me immensely proud," she said.

After the first two runs, Gu finished in eighth place, the stronger final run that secured her place on the Olympic podium. Swiss athlete Mathilde Grimaud took the gold while Keel Sildaru from Estonia took home bronze.
