"I know it may not be to everybody’s liking but at least we have got a government that can do something and I wish then the best of luck," said one local, adding that the party avoided "complacency" and that the "country deserves it."
Others said the vote was mainly led by Brexit and that now the UK must unite as a country and that it is all about "decision making."
"I think that is a real shame, but I think it also reflects the way that parts of this country have been left behind and ignored by mainstream politics. So I think it is really a vote of frustration," said another local, who added that he is "really disappointed" and that it is going to be "pretty wretched for the next five years" for who has ties to the EU and "every single positive social impulse in this country."
