USA women's national football team captain Megan Rapinoe reiterated that she will not be visiting the White House in the event of her team winning the FIFA 2019 Women's World Cup, speaking at a press conference in Lyon on Saturday, on the eve of the final against the Netherlands.

"I don't know, I haven't spoken to everyone about it. Obviously, not myself, not Ali Krieger, and I suspect not many, if any, of the other players but I haven't spoken to everyone of them about it," said Rapinoe.

The USA captain was also critical of FIFA, saying that the women's football does not get the same attention as men's football.

"No, I don't think that we feel the same level of respect, certainly, that FIFA has for the men and just in general," said Rapinoe.

"I mean, if you really care, you are letting the gap grow? Are you scheduling three finals on the same day? No, you're not. Are you letting federations have their teams play two games in four years between each tournament? No, you are not," she added, referring to the coinciding of three finals in one day - the Women's World Cup, the Copa America and the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The 2019 Women's World Cup final is due to be played at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon on Sunday. The kick-off is set for 17:00 local time (15:00 GMT).
