Glasgow’s Scottish Event Campus was highly enforced with security personal ahead of the arrival of world leaders attending the United Nations Conference of Parties (COP26) climate summit.

Several people could be seen queuing outside the site with security officers controlling documents and entry flow, on Saturday.

Local media states that an estimate of 10,000 police officers will patrol the event area.

As of Friday, the venue has now officially become UN territory, making up the Blue Zone, for the duration of the climate summit.

The United Nations COP26 kicks off on October 31 until November 12, with about 25,000 expected delegates to discuss the climate crisis.
