Protesters taking part in France’s ongoing ‘Freedom Convoy’ protest in Paris, shared their insights on the situation in the capital on Sunday.
"We had a French flag through the window as it is a sign of the demonstration and as it is forbidden from Friday, apparently until Monday. We are not allowed to put our national flag on the Champs-Elysees and we twice risked a fine of 135 euros," said Karine, from St Etienne.
"There, on the Champs-Elysees, it is really the sector to avoid for the French," added Karine.
Authorities deployed thousands of police officers around the capital over the weekend to stop the country's version of the Freedom Convoy, which was inspired by a protest against vaccine mandates in Canada.
