UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned of Jeremy Corbyn's "technicolour yawn" of a coalition, a metaphor for vomiting, if the Labour leader were to win the upcoming general election. The statement came as Johnson was addressing the press in front of 10 Downing Street in London, on Wednesday, after he visited the Queen who agreed to dissolve the Parliament.

"Imagine waking up on Friday, December 13 and finding Corbyn at the head of his technicolour yawn of a coalition. And they would spend the whole of 2020 having two referendums," said the UK prime minister, referring to plebiscites on Scottish independence and leaving the European Union.

"I've got to the stage where I've been wanting to chew my own tie in frustration," commented Johnson, describing Parliament as "paralysed and stuck in a rut for three and a half years."

He then promised to "start getting our deal through so we can get Brexit done in January and unleash this country's potential" if he were to secure a "working majority".

The UK heads to the polls on December 12.
