Dozens of protesters marched to demand better treatment from the French government and to receive residency status so they can work legally, in Paris on Friday.
The protesters marched with banners and drums through central Paris demanding action.
The group that organised the protest, 'Coordination 75 des Sans Papiers', have been demonstrating for 20 years. In October 2020 the group organised a protest in Paris attended by 60,000 people.
"Our demands are simple and humanitarian, they are the regularization of all undocumented people, accommodation for all, freedom of movement and the closure of detension centres," said Youssef, a delegate from the collective.
"We chose this word, anti-racism because it sums everything up. When we speak of racism, it's not just racism against colours, or religions, or origins, it's also repressive and contradictory laws the state imposes on foreigners in general."
The group has been holding weekly protests on Fridays for 20 years.
