Dozens of anti-fascist demonstrators marched through the streets of Nantes on Saturday to denounce the presidential elections a day before the first round.

Holding placards against candidates Eric Zemmour, Marine Le Pen, and Emmanuel Macron, demonstrators called by the 'Faire Bloc' collective marched from the city center of Nantes as police blocked entrances.

Voters will decide whether to give current President Macron a second five-year term as president. According to the latest polls, Macron's challenger far-right candidate, Marine Le Pen, has narrowed the gap between the two since the previous elections.

Should no candidate win a majority of the vote in the first round, a run-off will be held between the top two candidates on April 24.
