Green candidate Yannick Jadot launched his presidential campaign at a party rally in Lyon on Saturday, promising to fight against climate change and social inequalities in France.
The MP and candidate of the Europe Ecology - France's Green Party - will run in the presidential elections of April 2022. Jadot presented his program to his supporters, where he praised his deadline to reach the 2030 emission reduction for France.
"Our project allows a 55 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. A project based on the body of scientific knowledge and scenarios developed by specialists from NGOs and state bodies", underlined Jadot. "Of course, it is the ecology that frees us from the domination of Russian gas and petro-monarchies", he added.
