Vinfast, the first Vietnamese car maker ever to participate at a major auto show, presented two brand new models LUX A2.0 sedan and LUX SA2.0 SUV, at the 2018 Paris Motor Show on Tuesday.

Vinfast's design director David Lyon said that "in about little over a year ago they decided they want to be a part of the auto industry, to be able to better the lives of the Vietnamese people. And so we've worked very hard for the last year to create the two models you see here in Paris today."

Lyon stressed that the cars were created using expertise from Italian design house Pininfarina and Austrian engineering firm Magna Steyr.

The vehicles will hit the market in June 2019.
