"They are throwing away tonnes of sausage and cheese in markets, while people get nothing. Why? We are starving. You should see what a huge amount of products markets are throwing away," one commented.
The rally was part of a flash mob organised by the opposition Shor Party and agricultural producers. There was no official information on any detentions during the rally.
On Monday, Sandu called for more powers for law enforcement agencies, claiming that demonstrators want to "establish a government that will be loyal to Russia".
Thousands of people attended the first of these rallies on September 18, outside the presidential building in the capital.
Dozens of tents were pitched with organisers calling them a 'City of Change', saying they’d only leave when their conditions were met.
