Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche unveiled their new electric cars at the 2019 International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt on Tuesday.

Volkswagen's electric hatchback, the ID.3, will be available with three different battery packages, with the starting price of under €30,000 ($33,000). The base model of the car will have a 45 kWh-pack and a range of 330 kilometres (205 miles). The other larger capacity variants, a 58 kWh-pack and a 77 kWh-pack, will be able to travel 420 and 550 kilometres (260 and 341 miles) per charge. The delivery of the ID.3 is slated for mid-2020.

Audi revealed the final member of its concept car family, the new Audi AI:Trail Quattro Concept, which features four electric motors and the large lithium-ion battery. The Audi AI:Trail Quattro will provide a range of between 400 to 500 kilometres (248 and 310 miles) on roads on a single charge. The off-roading range will be some 250 kilometres (155 miles) per charge.

Porsche debuted its first fully electric car, the Taycan. The German car manufacturer is offering the four-door Taycan in two variants, the Turbo and the Turbo S. Powered by a 93.4 KWh-battery pack, the Taycan Turbo will be able to cover up to 450 kilometres (279 miles) on a single charge. The starting price for the Turbo is currently €137,000 ($151,000) and €168,000 ($185,000) for the Turbo S.
